Yponomeuta evonymella, known as the Bird-cherry Ermine is a diurnal lepidoptera from the family Yponomeutidae (the Ermine moths).

Found in large numbers on food plants; the larvae create webs which cover the plant whilst they defoliate it from within the protection of the web.

Synonyms: Hyponomeuta padi Zeller, Phalaena evonymella Linnaeus, Yponomeuta evonymellus.
